Bette Davis, 1932, a teenage boy in a brutal reform school who will not name his bootlegger boss. Howard Higgin directed for B.F. Zeidman; Junior Durkin is the boy, Davis the girlfriend, already eating scenes she was not hired to eat. Pre-Code, independent, a social picture about a house that is not a home. Davis is billed down. She is the reason the film is still watched.
