Directed by Roscoe Arbuckle
Arbuckle as a country boy whose girl (Minta Durfee) is being talked into the city by a slicker while he is under the car, fixing a tire. Keystone, 1914. The title is the whole plot and the joke: Lizzie is not led so much as briefly borrowed. Arbuckle directed. The city restaurant, the country return, the chase — already the template Sennett would run for years. Durfee (Arbuckle's wife) plays the girl who is never quite as dumb as the men need her to be.
