The White Moth

Maurice Tourneur, 1924: Barbara La Marr as a girl pulled from the Seine who becomes the White Moth, the dancing idol of Paris. Ben Lyon and Conway Tearle are the American brothers who both want her. La Marr, a year from her death at twenty-nine, is the glamour the title promised. Tourneur dresses a magazine plot in the decadence only 1924 could afford.
