Directed by Buster Keaton, Edward F. Cline
Keaton, 1920: a golfer is knocked out, dressed in a convict's stripes, and wakes up on a prison yard the day of a hanging. Directed with Edward F. Cline. The number 13 is on his back. The warden's daughter (Sybil Seely) is the only person who knows he is not who the yard thinks he is. A two-reeler about costume as fate — the same joke as The Goat, played inside the walls. The jailbreak is the second half. Keaton stops it because that is what the clothes require.
