In the Argentine Andes, a girl survives a miraculous fall and is granted healing powers; a shrine and a gold-rich city grow around her. When the sadistic usurper Ruiz seizes the town and closes the shrine, the charismatic outlaw known as the Gaucho rides in to reclaim it—only to confront a padre, a mountain girl, and a spiritual reckoning darker than Fairbanks's usual boyish adventures.
