Directed by Edward F. Cline, Buster Keaton
Keaton's last short for his own company, 1923: a man goes to sea to forget a girl and is shanghaied onto a whaler run by a captain who uses a harpoon as punctuation. Directed with Edward F. Cline. The tiny boat, the storm, the dream of the girl on the beach. It is Keaton saying goodbye to two-reelers before Three Ages, and the goodbye is a ship that will not let him off.
