Directed by Sam Taylor
Harold Lloyd, 1926, directed by Sam Taylor: a millionaire (Lloyd) falls for a mission worker (Jobyna Ralston) and funds her father's downtown church by turning himself into a magnet for the neighborhood's worst customers. Paramount. The bus chase, the burning building, the congregation of drunks — Lloyd's glasses character as a man who can buy anything except the girl unless he also shows up. It is the feature where his stunts serve a conversion plot, and the conversion is from money to work.
