W.C. Fields, 1933, for Mack Sennett: a Yukon prospector (Fields) waits for his prodigal son on a night that ain't fit for man nor beast. The snow, thrown from a bucket just off camera, is the gag that will not stop. Directed by Clyde Bruckman. It is a two-reeler that treats a temperance play as a suicide note, and Fields's mutter as the only honest weather report. The son comes home. The beer is still fatal.
